Valeria West is the owner and Founder of V W Trichology Solutions, Vitinman NuTress' LLC. Hair Growth Products, and V W Signature Solutions LLC. She is a Certified Clinical Trichologist. She is also a Master Cosmetologist licensed by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and has nearly 3 decades of experience in the hair and beauty industry.
Valeria is a hair loss expert, trichology educator, coach and mentor. She is a former Savannah Technical College cosmetology instructor and has conducted several workshops and trainings. In efforts to provide premier cutting edge customized services to her clients, Valeria continues to educate herself. She brings that same love and passion for the industry, her students, and clients, to her mentees in her online programs and Trichology Practice.
Her professionalism and expertise has led her work to be featured in international hair and fashion magazines, and also work with celebrities.

A Trichologist is a para-medical specialist who treats hair and scalp disorders, they commonly deal with hair loss and scalp treatments. Like health care workers, trichologist are board certified by a Medical Association and assist dermatologist and oncologist in addition to operating Trichology Clinics and teaching.
When should you see a Trichologist?
You should see a trichologist if you are experiencing breakage, shedding, hair loss, balding, excessive dryness, flaking, excessive oiliness, chronic dandruff, seborrhea dermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia, trichotillomania or any hair or scalp problem that your cosmetologist is unable to identify or alleviate.
What is the difference between a Trichologist, Cosmetologist and Dermatologist?
A Trichologist is a bridge between a cosmetologist and a dermatologist. While your cosmetologist may be the first to recognize your problem, the trichologist is trained to identify the problem through a full hair history workup of the hair and scalp and identify lesions, pimples, inflammation, damaged hair follicles and also use a holistic approach to address the problem. If the problem require more intensive treatment or surgery the trichologist will refer the client to a dermatologist.
